Linda Coleman is a proven leader who has been an effective voice for North Carolina. She served as Chair of the Wake County Board of Commissioners, was elected three times to the North Carolina House of Representatives and served as the Director of the Office of State Personnel from 2009 to 2012.

In 2012, Linda was a candidate for Lt. Governor and ran one of the most competitive statewide races that year, capturing over 2.1 million votes statewide. She is a proven leader for Black economic progress, and she’ll fight for key policies in Congress which will level the playing field for Black families across her district and across the country. Coleman aims to empower local community colleges to provide affordable training and certificate programs that allow workers to acquire necessary skills and workforce training programs to guarantee that opportunities for working families will always be available and accessible.
