WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Black Economic Alliance PAC (BEA PAC), a nonpartisan group of Black business leaders that supports candidates who prioritize improving economic conditions for Black people, endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for President of the United States. To date, BEA PAC has raised over $3 million for the Biden-Harris campaign this cycle.

The BEA PAC released the following statement:

“President Biden is one of the most consequential presidents in our history in advancing Black work, wages, and wealth.

“BEA will forever be grateful to President Biden for his commitment to, and historic investments in, expanding Black economic prosperity. BEA partnered with the Biden-Harris Administration on many of those unprecedented accomplishments – from achieving the lowest Black unemployment rate and fastest growth in Black small businesses, to the appointment of Black leaders to top economic positions, to cutting Black child poverty in half, to providing billions in funding to HBCUs.

“One of President Biden’s wisest decisions was selecting Vice President Harris as his running mate.

“Throughout her career, Vice President Harris has demonstrated her commitment to breaking down barriers to Black economic opportunity. In her three years in the Administration, she has tackled some of the most complex and challenging issues facing our nation – including how to build a more equitable economy. She has shown time and again, including most recently on her economic opportunity tour, that she understands the critical work of expanding Black economic progress and, in so doing, growing the entire US economy.

“Her commitment to advancing Black work, wages, and wealth extends beyond her contributions to this Administration’s historic progress. It has been evident throughout her career, including during her time in the United States Senate – where she prioritized economic issues critical to Black Americans, like expanding access to affordable housing and access to capital for small businesses.

“The stakes of this election could not be higher for the future of Black economic progress.  There is no better candidate, and there will be no better president, for expanding Black economic opportunity than Kamala Harris.

“We are proud to endorse Kamala Harris for President of the United States.”
